Leak detection and moisture surveys, roof and terrace waterproofing, balcony and wet-room tanking, basement and garage tanking against rising damp, façade and exterior wall sealing, swimming pool and planter waterproofing, black mould removal and anti-mould treatment, condensation and ventilation fixes, injection damp-proof courses, and full post-leak repairs and renovations. If it involves water where it shouldn't be, it's our work.

Can you remove black mould permanently?

Accepted Answer

Yes — but only if the water source is fixed first. Mould removal on its own always fails. We find the leak or damp source with thermal imaging and moisture meters, seal it, dry the structure, then strip and treat the affected surfaces with fungicidal wash and anti-mould systems. Black mould (Stachybotrys) on plasterboard, bathroom ceilings and behind wardrobes is one of our most common jobs in Cyprus.

What causes rising damp in Cyprus properties?

Accepted Answer

Usually a missing or bridged damp-proof course, ground levels raised above floor slab level, or salt-laden groundwater wicking through blockwork and stone. Symptoms are tide-marks about a metre up the wall, salting, blown plaster and musty odour. We confirm with moisture readings, then treat with injected DPC, tanking slurry, salt-resistant render or external drainage — whichever the survey shows is right.

How do you find a hidden leak without breaking the house apart?

Non-destructive first: thermal imaging cameras, protimeter moisture readings, acoustic tracing and pressure testing on pipework, plus flood testing on roofs, terraces and pools. We only open up where the evidence points, which keeps repair costs down and gives you photographic proof of the cause in the written report.

Accepted Answer

It filters serious owners and covers the specialist's day. You receive a detailed written report documenting every leak, damp reading and mould source found — usable for insurance claims, builder disputes, or resale due diligence. The €100 is credited back against any work we undertake. VAT is excluded and comes in addition.

A mould treatment or single balcony re-tank is usually one to three days. A full villa envelope typically runs two to four weeks depending on scope and finishes. You get a fixed timeline with the written quote.
